How to Get Your Ex Back

One minute you are in a relationship and the next minute you are sitting at a table for one, eating alone. The question that keeps going through your mind is "What went wrong? Suddenly you are no longer in a relationship. Why?
Now sometimes you need a kick in the pants to open your eyes to problems that were in your relationship. Things that you didn't pay attention to or problems you thought would resolve on their own. One good thing about a breakup is you get an earful about what was wrong, from your side and theirs, things neither of you talked about during your relationship.
After you get over the shock and anger of breaking up, it's time to evaluate if what the other person said was true. This is where you have to do some soul searching and take off the "rose colored glasses" and take a cold hard look at the things that were going on in your relationship that lead to the break up.
Once you've done this and realize these are things you can fix and you really want to be with this person, it's time to work on what to do to get your ex back.
Just because you break up doesn't mean you stop having feelings for the person, no matter who did the breaking up. Unless you did something really really horrible, those feelings are still there. These feelings are what will give you and your ex the possibility of a future together.
Start by taking small simple steps. Small simple steps can have a huge impact on getting your relationship on track. A phone call to find out how they are doing. Let them know that although you aren't together you still consider them a friend, and important to you. Nothing pushy. Just friendship. You were friends first before you became a couple, right?
Be willing to talk things through. When was the last time you both actually just talked about your relationship, talked about your dreams and goals together. Talk about what the relationships means to you. And listen to what it means to your ex.
Next, but by no means last, mean it. You must be committed to making the relationship work.
